Erich resides in Doylestown, PA with his wife, Kristen.  He competed for the University of North Dakota from 1996-2000.  He has judged since 2000, and served as the National SAFECON Chief Judge in 2010 & 2015, and NIFA Senior Chief Judge 2015-2021.  

Professionally, Erich is a B-737 Captain & Line Check Pilot for United Airlines in EWR.  He holds an ATP and is type rated in the B-737 and CL-65.

In his spare time, Erich and his wife Kristen enjoy traveling, attending Hershey Bears hockey games, and spending time with friends and family.
