Lewis is originally from Lebanon, NH, currently residing in Grand Forks, ND.  He competed for the University of North Dakota from 1989-1993, has coached since 2009, judged since 2001, and was the Regional Navigation Judge in 2015.  

Professionally, Lewis is an Associate Professor at the University of North Dakota and a Cessna 208 and 408 Captain/Check Airman for Corporate Air.  He holds ATP and CFI certificates and is type rated in the SD3 and CE408.

Lewis remains busy with an amazing wife, 3 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and 1 grandson. He enjoys the outdoors, shooting, golf, curling, boating, and biking.
