Phil resides in Longview, Texas.  He competed for LeTourneau University from 2005-2006 and has coached since 2019.  

Professionally, Phil is the Dispatch Manager at LeTourneau University.  He holds Commercial ASEL & MEL and Dispatcher certificates, as well as an Instrument rating.
