Please note the following contestant limitations for the upcoming 2016 SAFECON:
Short Field Landings – 5 per school, best 2 out of 3 landings (weather/time permitting)
Power Off Landings – 5 per school, best 2 out of 3 landings (weather/time permitting)
Navigation – 3 teams per school
***All navigation routes will planned on the Dallas Sectional. Per NIFA rules, all navigation routes must be planned on a paper sectional, be sure to bring enough for each of your navigation teams. No tablets, EFBs or electronic charting materials will be permitted in the navigation planning area. NO EXCEPTIONS!***
Message Drop – 5 per school
SCAN/Manual Flight Computer/Aircraft Recognition – 5 per school
**As a reminder, only basic 4 function non-programmable calculators, manual flight computers and non-programmable electronic flight computers are permitted in the SCAN event. If you have a calculator that does anything other than add, subtract, multiply, divide and square root, it will likely be disallowed. The business supply section of any Walmart usually has compliant calculators for sell for under $3.00***

Ground Trainer/Simulator – 2 per school
