SAFECON 2019 Host Bids were submitted by The Ohio State University, Indiana State University, and the University of Wisconsin. Representatives from all three bidders will be afforded the opportunity to make their respective pitch presentations at the Annual NIFA Business Meeting at SAFECON 2018 at approximately 10:00 am on Sat., May 05, 2018 in the Indiana State University Hangar at KHUF, to be voted upon by the membership at that time.

Regionals is right around the corner and we need your help judging! Bids to host SAFECON 2019 are now being accepted.
A bid can be submitted to the NIFA Executive Director electronically in the form of an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by written means in the form of a letter.
Bidding to host SAFECON 2019 will close at the end of the business day on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017.

Invitations have been sent out and registration is now open for SAFECON 2017 which is to be held May 9-14, 2017 in Columbus, OH.

There are three NIFA Council Member-At-Large positions whose terms expire on June 30, 2017. As such, this notice is to advise you that an “Open Nomination Period” is effective January 03, 2017.
- You can find the NIFA Council Member-At-Large “Eligibility Requirements” in NIFA Bylaw 2 #13.1.
- You can find the NIFA Council Member-At-Large “Responsibilities” in NIFA Bylaw 2 #12.1.
- And, you can find the NIFA Council Member-At-Large “Election” Procedures in NIFA Bylaw 2 #11.1.
The terms will begin on July 01, 2017 and continue until June 30, 2020.

Bidding to host SAFECON 2018 officially closed on Tuesday, November 15, 2017.
There were three bidders – The Ohio State University, Indiana State University, and Laramie County Community College. All three will be afforded the opportunity to make presentations at NIFA’s Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Hangar 7 at KOSU in Columbus, OH at approximately 10:oo AM EDT.
Bidding to host SAFECON 2019 will open shortly after the completion of SAFECON 2017.
SAFECON 2016, held 9 – 14 May 2016 at The Ohio State University Airport, hosted by The Ohio State University. Chief Judge Josh Ganshert, Associate Chief Judge Ryan Perrin, Senior Chief Judge Erich Hess.
Registration for SAFECON 2016 is now open. The registration fee for competitors, coaches, and advisors includes admission to the week’s events and the Awards Banquet. Extra banquet tickets may be purchased for those attending only that event. Note that each person must register themselves but advisors or coaches may purchase the SAFECON Voucher for their students’ and/or other coaches’ registrations. The head coach or advisor will be asked about team accommodations upon registering.

The top three teams from each region will advance to SAFECON 2016, the exceptions being Region 5 which will advance the top two teams and Region 3 that advances four which includes the host school, per Bylaw 12.5.
